Bachelor of Arts in Hindu Studies
The study of Hinduism is theoretically rich enough to reflect the nature of Hindu dharma, with the objective of its contribution to the vibrancy of Hindu society and culture. The program examines the religious and cultural dimensions of Hindu life while also critically engaging with contemporary thinkers and philosophies. It proposes a different knowledge tradition that integrates justice, compassion, and "humanity" for holistic living.
The three years graduation programme will impart basic knowledge of Hindu Civilization and articulate the position of Hindu values in the present context. It will help the student understand Hindu conceptions of the individual, family, relationships, society, state, environment, and the entire cosmos. The graduation program is structured around a wide range of disciplines to enable students from different streams such as Humanities, Science and Commerce to apply to this program.
